Compliance
Review of and recommendations for I-9, LCA, PERM and site visit compliance. Together we can explore how to better implement safeguards to narrow current gaps or how to address past deficiencies. 100% compliance is an ideal target, not a guaranteed outcome. Each organization must weigh its values and priorities in reaching for that ideal. I can help.
Operational Structure
Whether you are a US-based organization or a multinational outfit with a non-US parent, we can review the optimal structure, budget, headcount and communication protocols for your US immigration operations. I have experience working with clients that have mobility centralized in the US as well as those whose mobility function is spread out around the globe or centrally managed from outside the US.
Policy
Compliance, fairness, consistency and risk management all hinge on having good policy. US immigration policy is often deprioritized or entirely overlooked during times of regulatory stability. However, during periods where workplace enforcement is a key focus for the government, it is imperative that US employers create, resurrect, or edit their immigration sponsorship and hiring policies.
Practice
As regulatory and procedural changes ramp up in the US immigration space, there will be enormous pressure on US employers and their legal service providers to remain not only up-to-date on those changes, but to quickly and effectively analyze and provide impact analysis for US foreign worker populations. I am here to provide additional support in this space. Let’s talk through the different impacts and possible solutions and what it means for your US business immigration practice. Together we can create a standardized approach to communication that will lessen the burden of creating new content for every change.
Crisis Management
While we hope for predictable and positive outcomes in all cases, I have deep experience counseling clients and other legal practitioners when things go wrong. My approach is simple and yet sometimes hard to achieve on your own when emotions are high:
Do a thorough and confidential dive into the data to understand exactly the scope of impact.
Privately advise stakeholders of the impact and possible risks and solutions.
Provide bespoke counsel to identify the optimal path forward for the stakeholders.
Create a communication strategy that aligns messaging of both the crisis and the solution to all involved.
